Job Title: Data Management Administrator
Job Overview:
Support DataMart infrastructure and administer/maintain the DataMart infrastructure (servers, Switches, Storage (DAS/NAS/SAN)). Keep up-to-date the DataMart infrastructure and DataMart Management system with appropraite maintenance, backup, recovery and database administration. The infrastructure includes Windows and UNIX operating systems, SAN switches and DAS/NAS/SAN storage systems.
Job Functions:
l. Administer and maintain DataMart computing infrastructure
2. Provide support and administration of TUning Manager Expert
Assistant, Remote Copy Planning and Design Expert Assistant
and other tools provided by customer
3. Adminsiter DataMart Management SYstem
4. Maintain appropriate backups for recovery in the DataMart
5. Administer DataMart processes
6. Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and
evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Primary Qualifications:
o Skills: Must have broad expertise and knowledge in Storage
Area Networking, open systems, and IT infrastructure
administration. Must have database SQL skills and Java skills.
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to smoothly
interact with customers
o Knowledge: This position requires a good knowledge of Open
Systems such as Windows and UNIX, a strong background in
enterprise applications such SQL Server, etc. Requires in-depth
knowledge of networking, Storage Area Networks and other
storage networking concepts. Knowledge of RDBMS and
expertise of SQL required
o Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience. Experience in
Systems administration in complex data center environments is
highly preferred. Must have demonstrated initiative and
independent suport capabilities.
o Qualification: BS in Computer Science or a related field, MSCS
is strongly preferred |
